Periods are a natural part of a woman’s life. Yet, lack of education and the existence of deeply ingrained historical taboos mean menstruation is still a source of shame for girls and women in rural communities.
Providing girls and women with safe and affordable tools to manage their periods means restoring their dignity and pride and increasing their chances of staying in school and employment, both fundamental to increasing the economic and social standing of women in Malawi.
Because disposable pads are prohibitively expensive, women often use old clothes, newspapers or even banana leaves to pad their underwear, which can pose a serious health threat.
Buying our products means investing directly in the local economy as well as supporting the expansion of our charitable efforts in schools and other areas of the community.
